Firmware 22.1.0 released for Switch and Switch 2, features unprecedented levels of stability

ICYMI: A little sooner than expected, Nintendo has released the latest firmware for their Switch and Switch 2 systems. On the surface this appears to be a smaller one, bringing back everybody's favourite patch note.

General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.

This update comes right on the heels of Atmosphere being updated, and the advice as always for owners of the original system remains to not update until we know the firmware is either compatible, or an update...

Atmosphere v1.11.0 released, adds support for Switch firmware 22.0.0

ICYMI: The wait is over! 18 days after the release of Switch firmware 22.0.0, the latest version of Atmosphere is available to download. This update brings support for the latest Switch firmware, with special thanks given to alula for handling a lot of the heavy lifting around the kernel, loader, and erpt changes. This update doesn't come without some downsides however, with changes to how applications and applets' lifespans are managed apparently breaking the homebrew ecosystem. You can read more...

The original classic Resident Evil trilogy is now available on Steam

ICYMI: In what seemed like a weird choice for a release date, Capcom pleased a lot of their RE fanbase by shadowdropping not one, not two, but the entire original Resident Evil classic trilogy from the PlayStation 1 days right on Steam.

On April 1st, 2026, out of nowhere and without notice, Capcom shadowdropped all three classic titles, Resident Evil (1996), Resident Evil 2 (1998) and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (1999) on Steam, all 3 with a 50% discount as well thanks to Capcom's current Spring...
